T212 Portfolio Card Chrome Extension — Last updated: 25 May 2026
Overview
T212 Portfolio Card is a Chrome extension that generates a shareable snapshot card of your
T212 portfolio. This policy explains what data the extension accesses and how it is handled.
Data the extension accesses
-
T212 session credentials – The extension reads authentication cookies and
cached login data from the active
app.T212.com tab solely to make authenticated
API requests on your behalf. These credentials are never stored by the extension and never
transmitted to any server other than T212's own APIs.
-
Portfolio data – The extension fetches your portfolio summary, position values,
and performance history from T212's APIs. This data is used only to render the card within
the extension and is not stored, logged, or transmitted to any third party.
-
Instrument logos – Stock and ETF logos are fetched from T212's public
Amazon S3 asset bucket solely for display purposes.
Data stored locally
The extension saves two small items to your browser's local storage to preserve your preferences
between sessions:
- Selected tickers – which holdings you chose to display on the card.
- Card preferences – gradient choice and other visual settings.
This data stays on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.
Data we do not collect
- No analytics or telemetry of any kind.
- No personal information (name, email, account number) is collected or stored.
- No data is sent to any server operated by the extension developer.
- No data is sold or shared with third parties.
Third-party services
The extension communicates only with:
live.services.T212.com – T212's portfolio API.
app.T212.com – T212's web app (to read session context).
T212equities.s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com – Public S3 bucket for instrument logos.
These requests are made on your behalf using your existing T212 session. The extension
developer has no access to the data exchanged in these requests.
Permissions justification
- activeTab / tabs / scripting – Required to inject a script into your open
T212 tab to fetch portfolio data using your existing browser session.
- sidePanel – Used to display the portfolio card UI in the browser side panel.
- Host permissions (T212.com, S3) – Required to make authenticated API
requests and fetch instrument logos.
Children's privacy
This extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes to this policy
Any material changes will be reflected in an updated "Last updated" date above and a version bump
in the extension.
